For more than 24 years, I have operated my cameras like I like to rev the twelve cylinders of my car's engine, with the precise passion of a collector of beautiful moments in life.

Alongside my work as a portraitist, I have the intuition and soon the deep conviction that certain objects which have become attached to our soul through the power of love can, just as much as people, reflect sensations, feelings, pieces of existence.

The term "still life" photography is misnamed, since I specifically want to bring the objects I photograph back to life and revive long-forgotten sensations.
