This project My Little Red is a home to these miniatures with all of them being big pilots and a special relationship that is established between this small car and its young owner. For Julien there is a small red car and that the child relives all these emotions and decides to photograph one of these miniatures, of his childhood, the majority of those lost and mistreated by many infantile carreras, to convert them into large format art pieces after much post-production time disconnected computer. French photographer Julien Melica has transformed these magnificent cars, which marked the games of his childhood, into true works of art to be appreciated in adulthood.

Hours and hours of play and dreams with these little metal cars, painted in bright colors, have remained forever etched in young Julien's memory. These miniatures were much more than just toys; they sparked his imagination and have now become Julien's own creative universe as an adult. We've all surely been thrilled at some point to find, in a rake, at an antique shop, or simply in a photograph, that toy that was our favorite, the one we couldn't share with anyone. For Julien, an old wooden crate filled with little metal cars was his most prized possession. And a few years ago, he decided to transform these little cars into art. His MyLittleRedCar project is a tribute to these miniatures with which we all dreamed of being great race car drivers, and to the very special bond that develops between a little car and its young owner. For Julien, it was a little red car that brought back all those emotions, and he decided to photograph each of these miniatures from his childhood, most of them chipped and battered by countless children, to later transform them into large-format works of art. This involved many hours of post-production in front of the computer.
